What will other people think
Have you ever had a great idea to post something on social media?
It feels exciting. Maybe you even think, this could finally be the thing that changes my future. But then, out of nowhere, a strange voice appears and says, “What will people who know you think?”
Suddenly, the idea does not feel so good anymore.
So much potential gets wasted just because of a small voice in our head.
If you look at it from another perspective, this way of thinking is actually pretty egoistic. It is like we believe the whole world is spinning around us, and everyone is waiting to see if we do something strange.
Of course, it does not work like that.
This is just the spotlight effect living in our minds.
The truth is, we do not get unlimited chances. Years pass by. And when something feels like a good idea, whether for business or just for fun, we should not let these mental limits stop us.
There are almost 9 billion people in the world. What seems strange to one person might be interesting to someone else.
We should not block ourselves at the very first step, inside our own heads. Because in the end, that is usually the only real obstacle.
