What if...
What if life, at its core, is really easy? What if everything we believe we must worry about is just a belief in our heads? It could be many such beliefs that make us who we are. What if we suddenly lose all those beliefs? Only then would we discover true happiness. What if the only thing we need to do is stop asking all these questions? What if we only need to observe and live our lives? It sounds so simple.
From everything I’ve read lately, this is the principle that resonates most with me. What if all I have to do is stop trying? To simply become aware of my thoughts and beliefs. There’s no need to change them, just to be curious about them and observe them. Like a scientist observing ants. Yes, that’s from a book called Stop Fixing Yourself. This principle sounds simple, but it may be the hardest task in a person’s life. I guess the reward is proportional to that.
On the other hand, I often wonder how many people never ask themselves this. What if that is the goal of life? To stop asking, and just live.
Stay awesome!
