Quantity before quality

This title just came to my mind, because today I was listening a podcast from Seth Godin - Akimbo. I have a strange habit that I start listening these older podacast from the first episode, which is usualy somewhere in 2018 or we like to say way before covid. And there was an episode wehere Seth was talking about the writers block. Probably we all experience something like that, but beacause writers write about it its called writers block. Funny thing is that Seth is saying, that writers block does not exist. Same as plumbers block does not exist. There is just our wish to be perfect and from that wish to be perfect we wait for our perfect thing to come to life. Usualy this happens in creative or artistic work where we are not told what to do in general. Its strange how this never happens to a worker at a cash register or to a worker in the production. Of course they have bad days to, but usualy that does not mean that do less work because of that. That make me think about my hobbies, which I imagine someday will be my primary work. Its strange how little I do about it probably just because nobody tells me what I must do. This means progress there is very slow and sometimes makes me frustrated. And then I do even less... One good cure that Seth mentions here is showing up, having enough bad ideas, write bad stuff... Only if you do the work everyday and you are being consisten you can someday experience a breaktrough. If you do nothing, nothing will happen. If you just wait for that perfect moment, it is very possible that it will never happen. Action - reaction. This also take mo to the tought how the system likes us being passive and occupied with non productive stuff. It is always good to ask why and think about what could be done diferently..

Stay awesome
