Mental models

This is another example of something that is not taught in schools in a way that is truly useful. I would place it in the same category as compounding. It is rarely taught, yet it is extremely important. The concept is called mental models.

In some way, we do learn about mental models in school. Different subjects introduce pieces of them, but they are usually taught separately. Rarely does anyone explain how to actually use them, how to combine them, or how to make them work in our favor when thinking and making decisions.

After doing some quick research on this topic, I discovered that James Clear also considers mental models very important and has written a lot about them. If you are interested in learning more, I think it is best to explore his work directly. https://jamesclear.com/mental-models
