Habits

Today a thought crossed my mind. I could have read it somewhere, or I could have just come up with it. How could one really know?

What if who we are comes down to what our habits are?

They say: be careful what you think, because thoughts become your words. And be careful what you say, because your words become your actions. And our habits are formed through our actions.

I guess this works backwards too.

Even our thoughts can become habits. Maybe that’s where our limiting beliefs come from: habitual thoughts we repeat about ourselves or the world. It’s interesting how limiting beliefs are usually negative, and rarely positive.

So if we change our thoughts, we can change our actions. And if we change our actions, we can change our habits. And with that, we might even change our thoughts again.

Mind blown. 😄

I’m not even sure where this came from. But maybe it’s a reminder that sometimes I should do the opposite of what I’m used to. To go somewhere I’ve never been. To talk to new people. To try different things. To become a little better every day.

It could be an interesting path of change, one I’ve never walked before.
